My sister just welcomed her baby boy, Danny, into the world on March 20th. What should have been a joyful day quickly turned into a time of worry and uncertainty. Just 30 minutes after Danny was born, the nurses noticed he was having trouble breathing. The NICU team discovered fluid in his lungs and immediately put him on oxygen. When they tried to give him more airflow, Danny suffered a pulmonary hemorrhage, making things even scarier for our family. He’s been given medicine that’s slowly helping, but he’s still on a ventilator and may need to stay in the NICU until the end of the week or longer before he can finally go home.
My sister and her husband are doing everything they can to support their little family of five, but right now, they only have one vehicle and one income. Their next paycheck isn’t until the end of the week, and with the Ronald McDonald House full, my sister can’t stay close to the hospital. She needs to travel back and forth to see baby Danny, which means extra gas money, and money is already tight for essentials like food and bills.
Anything given would help them tremendously and they would be so very grateful for this help during this time. Your support will help ease their financial stress so they can focus on what matters most—being there for Danny as he fights to get stronger every day.
