Support for 'Baby Copeland' & family with his Heart Surgery
Donation protected
This comes with a lot of sadness for me to write but I want to do anything I can to help my little sister Caitlin, Jack and Alfie whilst they go through a very difficult time.
As most of our friends and family know Caitlin and Jack have been preparing for the arrival of their second baby boy. On a routine ultra scan some serious complications were identified, their unborn baby has been diagnosed with a very rare and serious heart condition called Transposition of the Great Arteries. This means that the critical blood vessels going in and out of the heart are reversed and the baby cannot get oxygen when he is born. Without open heart surgery at birth this condition is fatal and carries the risk of major complications. Not only has this news been very hard for them to deal with and to process as a family, they are also required to travel interstate to Melbourne so their baby can receive highly specialist critical care and follow up, which could take up to three months.
As you can imagine Caitlin and Jack have been beside themselves with worry trying to navigate this so I wanted to create this page to reach out to all their friends and family for support and to hopefully take some costs and financial pressure of them.
I know times are hard for everybody at the moment but any contribution no matter how small will make a big difference to them. As a family we appreciate all the support and with Caitlin, Jack & Alfie being on the other side of the world any help from family and friends back home will mean a lot to them.
Thank you so much for your support ❤️
