Our son Brooks is just 6 months old, but he’s already shown more strength and resilience than we could have ever imagined. Born at only 24 weeks gestation and weighing just 1lb 1oz, Brooks spent 128 days in the NICU fighting for his life. Every day was a new challenge, but he amazed us and his medical team with his determination to keep going. Now that he’s home, Brooks still faces many hurdles. He is on oxygen, has already undergone one surgery, and will need three more in the coming months. In addition, he’ll require a special helmet and ongoing physical therapy to support his development.

The financial strain of Brooks’ medical journey has been overwhelming. The funds we raise will go directly toward paying off past medical bills, covering the costs of upcoming surgeries, purchasing the equipment Brooks needs, and helping with doctor appointment copays. Dan and I have been making it by with the savings that we had, but with all of the bills rolling in and the everyday costs of caring for Brooks, our savings has been exhausted.
