Tiny but mighty: Support baby Brayden Tyler Bennett Godfrey NICU Journey

On 2/2/2026 at 9:35 pm, our family welcomed a very special little fighter into the world. Delivered via emergency C-section, Baby Brayden arrived much earlier than expected, weighing just 1 lb 7.8 oz.

While he is a miracle, he has a very long road ahead of him at the UC Davis NICU. As he fights to grow and get stronger, his parents, Joseph and Casondra, want nothing more than to be by his side every second. However, they live nearly 2 hours away from the hospital. Right now, Mom and Dad are on the waiting list to stay at the Ronald McDonald House, but unfortunately, it is a long waiting list.

Between the cost of gas for the four-hour round trip, lodging near the hospital, and the daily expense of meals while away from home, the financial burden is becoming overwhelming. Mommy is also recovering from surgery, making the long commute even more difficult and painful.

We are asking for your help to keep this family together. Your donations will go directly toward:

• Lodging: Ensuring Mom and Dad have a place to sleep near the hospital.

• Fuel & Travel: Covering the high costs of commuting back and forth.

• Food: Helping with daily meals while they are stationed at the NICU.
