It’s been a tough few days with Babka and Mordy while they’re competing over who can be the sickest. The vet felt a lump on Mordy so we rushed to get him an ultrasound - fortunately it was just some inflammation but it was very pricey and happened alongside some escalation in our care for his chronic kidney disease. Apparently Babka was jealous of all of the attention because right after Mordy came home from his day of tests at the vet, Bobby had some scary asthma attacks and we rushed him into urgent care this morning. Everyone is stable but it’s been a very stressful and very expensive few hours. I’m so thankful for pet insurance but Babka’s asthma is a pre-existing condition so not covered at all and Mordy has just about maxed out his coverage until July. I know everyone is barely scraping by right now and it still feels worth turning to my community during this overwhelmingly emotionally & financially stressful 48 hours.
