Update: January 12, 2026

The ICE Detainee Locator is showing that Azarias is detained in El Paso, but we haven't heard from him since Friday night. Thanks to your generosity, Azarias's family was able to retain a trustworthy immigration lawyer to advocate for him to receive a bond hearing through a process called "Habeas." We hope this will help us reach him. Please continue to pray for Azarias and his family. And take care of each other and those around you.

Update 1/10/26 7:30 PM:

We were not successful in getting Azarias his necessary medication. Some challenges we faced was that we never knew his exact location and its the weekend with offices closed in general. Azarias is no longer showing up on the detainee locator. This might be because he is in the process of being transferred to a facility outside of MN.
