Hi everyone, Our family is going through a really difficult time right now. Our brother Axel was diagnosed with hepatocellular carcinoma (liver cancer), along with portal hypertension, and just recently doctors found a nodule in his lungs. He is scheduled to undergo lung surgery on April 2nd, followed by his 4th cycle of chemotherapy while he waits for a liver transplant. We are staying hopeful and strong for him, taking everything day by day. After his surgery, Axel and my mom will need to remain in Utah for about 4 months (April through July) for his recovery and to complete his treatments. Being away from home for that long comes with a lot of unexpected expenses—housing, transportation, food, and medical-related costs. My mom is someone who would never ask for help unless it was absolutely necessary, but right now, we truly need the support. This has been overwhelming for our family, especially having to manage everything in another state while focusing on Axel’s health and healing.
