*Awilda Torres Rodriguez passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at the age of 49. She was born on August 5, 1971 in Puerto Rico. As a young girl, her family moved to Immokalee, Florida. Awilda graduated from Immokalee High School in 1990. She went to Nova University and continued to achieve her master’s degree in education.
*Awilda has worked as a teacher for over 20 years and loved her career! She absolutely adored her students! She was such a hard and dedicated teacher. Awilda tutored and taught summer school for many years. Over the years, she has helped so many children graciously! She has left an imprint on each of those students and co-worker’s hearts forever.
*Awilda was a first-class lovely lady, who began and ended every day with a smile and a giggle. She loved God, her mom, siblings, and her nieces and nephews so much! Her family and students were her world! She loved and treated her students, nieces, and nephews, as if they were her own. She was so dedicated to her family, work, friends, and most importantly, her Heavenly Father, whom she is with now! She is with her earthly father now in heaven whom she admired too! Awilda loved her family and loved spending time with them. She adored being an aunt and she loved being a sister and a daughter.
*She was a strong Believer! She was always a positive, kind, and happy person with a smile on her face and a funny sense of humor. She was a sweet, honest, and faithful friend. I know without a doubt, her students, friends, and family loved her so much!
*Awilda was one of my dearest friends. On behalf of her family, all donations will be given to her mother to help with the memorial arrangements. Since this was unexpected, I would like to help her family during this difficult time. Her family would like to do a memorial service so her friends, students, and family can ALL attend. With your help, I know we can make this happen! I would like to help ease their worries by having the community help her family with the funds needed to do so. Any donation is greatly appreciated! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
