My nephew was one of the Austin shooting victims from 5/16-5/17, which led police on a chase to Manor, Texas. He is currently recovering in the hospital, and our family is still in shock from everything that has happened. My sister-in-law has had to take time off work to be by his side and care for him during his recovery. On top of that, she is also responsible for her four other children, making this situation even more challenging.

With my sister-in-law out of work, the bills and daily expenses will quickly add up. She is doing everything she can to support her children and keep things together until she can apply for FMLA, but the financial strain is overwhelming. The funds raised will go directly toward helping her cover medical bills, household expenses, and anything else her family needs while they focus on my nephew’s recovery.
