Support for Austin, Lindsay, and Ailsa

Just two days after Austin and Lindsay welcomed their beautiful baby, Ailsa, into the world, Austin suffered cardiac arrest. He was given CPR and rushed to the hospital. Because he was without oxygen for some time, there is concern about injury to his brain. The doctors are keeping him sedated in order to give his body and brain some time to rest and to provide him the best chance for recovery. The doctors will know more when they are able to bring him out of sedation for testing.

 

During this deeply overwhelming and surreal time, Lindsay is caring for their week-old daughter and has asked for thoughts and prayers that Austin is able to fully recover and come home to be with his family.

 

Friends and colleagues have started this campaign to spread the word and extend the reach of her request for thoughts and prayers. For those who are able to offer donations: the funds will be used to defray the costs of Austin's hospitalization and recovery, and to support Lindsay as she cares for Ailsa in these first weeks of her life and over the coming months.
