Support for Auggie's Emergency Care Costs

Auggie’s favorite activity was to sunbathe on our balcony, and even on the day he was most weak, he was still able to enjoy doing so. It's been a traumatizing situation for my family and me. Auggie was there for me at my lowest and gave me so much purpose in all the months he was in my life. He almost got to be 2 years old, on September 29. Every day has been hard for me, seeing his food, his bed, even when I hear barks from other pets. I did my best to give him the best life. Auggie loved to play and snuggle with his family. I will miss Auggie every day. On Saturday night on August 10th, My boyfriend and I noticed my frenchie Auggie was breathing very hard and had been weak all day, but it got worse in the night so we decided to text vet support on our Banfield account. The vet stated to send him a pic of his gums and he told us to go to the emergency pet hospital immediately since he was low on oxygen, we drove as fast as we can. Immediately, they took him into the oxygen tank since he was low on oxygen and very anemic, after a short diagnosis, they told us his Platelet and red blood cell count is super low. Auggie only had 6% of red blood cells, while healthy dogs have 30-36%. Our only option was a blood transfusion, but that wouldn't cure him only prolong his life as his body is killing itself. To cure him it would take a week or two for some pills that would help with his blood but we wouldnt know how many transfusions we needed for that time period to work and especially we needed one already but there was no blood in our nearby clinics. They also have to run a lot of tests to find the origin of the cause since they need to find the right medicine to give him. After a long discussion with my boyfriend for Auggie to go through this we decided for him to keep going. I still feel regretful but we thought since the vet told us he should've been dead already, that he still has a lot of fight in him. Hopefully they found a clinic that had blood but didn't know if they were a match or not. With the decision we made we left that night and said our goodbyes to Auggie with hope of seeing him the next day and the blood transfusions to be a match and successful. But later that night and morning they called us on updates. First call was about a leak of fluid in his lungs and near his heart, which they called congestive heart failure. They would have to give him diuretic medicine to stabilize it. They later on called me again letting me know that the vet used the highest dosage of diuretic, and Auggie was reacting well to it. Then at 7:17, I received a call from the vet saying that Auggie was 3 minutes unresponsive and they were doing CPR and would only do it for 20 more minutes. The CPR ended being unsuccessful. I would like to ask for help regarding the emergency vet bill I received for Auggie's care. This includes examination, medicine, injections, oxygen therapy, blood transfusion crossmatch, cremation, and more. Invoice will be included, which came out to be $4,922. Anything would be appreciated towards the invoice for Auggie’s care. I am a college student and trying to make ends meet, so I am currently struggling with the monthly payments for his care. I appreciate your time in reading about Auggie’s fund, and consideration.
