This past Saturday early morning, AJ was hanging out with some friends and was trying to move a grill that was on an unfinished, two-story deck. While moving it the grill decided to not cooperate and AJ lost his balance and fell and landed on his butt, breaking his back, this resulted in some broken vertebrae and a crushed spinal cord. 

Currently unable to move his legs and feet, AJ has already had surgery to repair his spine but will need extensive rehab in addition to ongoing physical therapies.

There is also the likelihood of long-distance travel for hospital treatment that can adequately serve AJ's urgent needs at this crucial phase of his rehabilitation process.

AJ's family, who have tirelessly been by his side, are also in need of support due to extensive emergency travel expenses.

As a community, let's do what we can to take care of  both AJ and his loving support system.
