Support for Asma and her family.
During the emergency evacuation from Afghanistan, eight year old Asma was shot in the face with a tear gas canister resulting in severe burns to her face and neck.
After multiple rescue attempts, special operations forces carried out a harrowing mission to retrieve Asma and take her to a secretive CIA base for life saving treatment.
Asma's father was killed by the Taliban because of his extensive work for the US military. As a result, Asma grew up in extreme poverty without ever knowing her father.
Because Asma’s father was killed, her family no longer qualifies for a special immigrant visa (SIV) and the government benefits that are provided with it.
Asma, along with her mother and siblings, are now on a US military base and are applying to the US Refugee Admissions Program.
They need help with living expenses and Asma’s medical treatment. If you can give please donate here.
100% of contributions will go directly to the family.
