Ashley is a devoted mother of two, ages 13 and 6. Her husband is the sole provider for their family. Her heart is with her faith, family, and farm. She loves spending time with her animals and giving back to the community. Whether volunteering at her church or sharing food from her farm. Ashley’s kindness touches everyone she meets. Her warm smile and joyful spirit have earned her the nickname 'Smashley.' From high school on, she has been the kind of person who lights up every room with laughter and love.
In October, Ashley began experiencing severe pain in her lower back. At first, it was thought to be fibroid tumors, and she started seeking medical help for a hysterectomy. However the tumors grew rapidly, and her pain became unimaginable. She lost 45 pounds in just a few weeks, growing so weak she stopped driving to keep her family and others safe. An emergency ER visit revealed the true extent of her illness: sepsis, kidney failure, and large cancerous tumors impacting her organs. Now, Ashley is in the hospital, surviving with a feeding tube and pain medication, while her family prays for a miracle.
The funds raised will help Ashley’s family with the basics: travel, food, and bills. Especially as hospital bills begin to arrive they will need your help. Her family travels 1.5 hours each way to be by her side, and she is expected to remain hospitalized for at least 6-8 weeks.
Ashley has always given so much to others, and now she needs our help. Please consider supporting her family, sharing her story, or leaving words of encouragement. Your kindness and prayers mean the world to us as we hope for Ashley’s recovery.
