Support for Ashley, Jakob & Mira

I am starting this GoFundMe on behalf of friends and family of my best friend, Ashley Murphy who is going through an incredibly tough time and preparing to say goodbye to her father, Jack Murphy.

Right now, Ashley is in Edmonton at her father's bedside after complications occurred with surgery to remove a large tumor from Jack's brain. Her two small children, Jakob & Mira, have also said goodbye to their Poppy, who was their best friend and their primary caregiver while Ashley, a single mom, worked to provide for their family.

There is no good time of year for something this tragic to occur, but right before Christmas is an incredibly awful time to have to say goodbye to your father, grandfather and friend. I started this go fund me after Ashley's mother who is back in Ontario reached out to see what we could do to help ease some of the burden she faces and the uncertain times ahead. No doubt there are endless unexpected costs for the trips to Edmonton prior to the surgery, Ashley's current stay there with Jack, time off from work as well as costs that will arise as the situation progresses.

Ashley is a wonderful mom. And anyone who knows her can attest to this. She is also an incredible friend to many and all of us who love her want to help her through this extremely tough time. Navigating the days ahead will be stressful for her family unit and any amount to ease that burden or even a simple share of this fundraiser will contribute to that.
