On Saturday, March 14th, Ashley Bowman and her children experienced an unimaginable loss. Ashley’s husband, Ryan, was not only the love of her life but also a devoted father and partner. That afternoon, Ashley was returning home from the Salt Lake International Airport. She texted Ryan to let him know she was on her way, and he replied, sharing that their daughter Kylie (12) was staying at a friend’s house while he was home with their son Sean (4). The time it took from the airport to home in Draper maybe 35 mins he had passed.
When Ashley arrived home, I had just dropped her off and was heading home myself. Only moments later, she called me, screaming for help and calling Ryan’s name. She had hung up and called I turned around immediately and called 911. When I arrived, Ashley was giving Ryan CPR, and barely 1 minute later Draper Police, Fire, and EMTs arrived and worked tirelessly to help. He was never revived. We were asked to wait outside for hours as the medical examiner arrived, and the reality of our loss began to set in. Ryan was only 38 years old.
During those difficult hours, her neighbors, especially Bree and her family, showed incredible kindness—checking on Ashley and the kids, offering comfort, and opening their home. We are so grateful for the support of friends and the Draper community, who have been there every step of the way.
Ryan did not have life insurance, or a 401K. This fundraiser is to help Ashley and her children with daily living costs over the next month or so. Any donation, no matter the size, would mean so much to Ashley and her family as they navigate this heartbreaking time. Thank you for your kindness and support.
