What a year 2020 has been..   In March Ashley was out of work due to the shutdown. She is a Hair Colorist and was able to return in June.  During this time Steve was able to continue working supporting their family while Ashley was home with Jordan.

A week before Ashleys 8 week dating ultrasound, she found a lump in her left breast. She decided to bring it up with to her OB the day of her appointment.  Little did she know that that would be the start of this journey she is about to endure.  After going to the breast imaging center and having biopsy done in her breast and a node under her armpit she got the call...

Cancer 

Stage 2 triple negative invasive ductal carcinoma that has spread to her lymph nodes.

She has a huge team of doctors working with her as her case is rare.

This is just the start. They are excited for baby and also have to be cautious because of treatments.  Baby will be watched closely by Maternal Fetal Medicine at the U of M.  She will have to have surgery first, 6 months of chemo, stopping 3 weeks before baby comes, and then pick up again after baby is born to finish out treatment.

Ashley will more than likely be out of work for a significant amount of time.  We are hoping to raise enough money to relieve the financial burden this is going to cause for her family. 

She has already missed multiple days of work for appts and tests. The bills are starting to come and surgery will more than likely happen in the next cpl weeks.
