Support for Ashley After Heath's Sudden Passing

Donation protected
"The boundaries which divide Life from Death are at best shadowy and vague. Who shall say where the one ends, and where the other begins?" ~Edgar Allan Poe

On Saturday, March 23rd, Heath (46) passed away suddenly in his sleep. This came just months after Heath and Ashley had finally been able to move back into their home after a devastating fire in 2023. Heath and Ashley have been sweethearts since high school and have been life partners for over 10 years, married since valentines day 2017. In addition to being a beloved husband and father, son and brother, Heath had recently taken on the role of caretaker for Ashley's father who suffers from dementia. With the absence of Heath from her life, Ashley is left with sole financial and caretaking responsibility for both her father, and the homestead she and Heath have been building together for years; as well as providing support for their grown children through their own grief. With no type of advanced planning in place prior to Heaths passing, Ashley is faced with a need to take at least a month off work to grieve and navigate logistics. Funds raised will be used towards funeral expenses, household bills and needs such as groceries while Ashley is away from work, as well as resources to devise and maintain a care plan for Ashley's father.

One day, we may each come upon a weave and falter in our path. When the steadfast and ever present love of our chosen companions is torn away. This is such a heavy burden on its own, without adding to it all the terrestrial impacts surrounding the logistics, financial impacts, and familial responsibilities which are left behind. The responsibility for all of this falls to those who were most loved and who carry the greatest grief. During this time the community surrounding us is needed more than ever, but this is also a time that we often don't know how or what to ask for. And so the community must find a way to support and shelter those affected. That is what we ask of you now.

Ashley needs your words of support and donations are appreciated beyond measure.
