Support for Ash & Luke Anderson

Donation protected
As many of you know, Luke was admitted to the hospital on February 21st (on his birthday) after an MRI found a tumor on his brain. He had a successful surgery to remove the tumor on February 26th and is on the journey of full healing and recovery. He is officially home and recovering.

Ash and Luke are two of the most selfless and caring individuals around. Today, they find themselves in a position where they need our support during this time. Thank you in advance for your prayers, faith, kindness and generosity, as we come together to support them. Below is an update from Ash as of March 11th:

A very fun update

As many of you know, after lots of ups and downs, everyone recommended Luke remain at UC Davis for rehab for a couple weeks. It was hard to accept but truly seemed the best for him.

But the past few days he’s had a really shocking turnaround. The nurses and therapy team were like “who is this guy??” It seems like his body got caught up in the healing process and they starting realizing we don’t need rehab.

In a whirlwind, they monitored him for another night and then sent us home TODAY! We’re now safe and sound at home with our puppy and finally together

I’m sure the next couple of weeks will be very tender for us. There is certainly an element of relearning for Luke and we’re taking things very slow. There are also a lot of emotions to feel now that we don't have to keep pushing through. This has been a LOT.

We also haves many follow up appointments (both home and at UC Davis) in the coming weeks and months to keep an eye on his recovery and make sure things keep looking good. But everything seems great and they anticipate it to stay that way.

We have been deeply moved by the support from those around us. I can’t say what it meant to be able to book a hotel room for so long knowing it’s not putting us in debt because of the generous help. We were able to keep me fed, buy toiletries and things, and we also aren’t shaking in our boots for when the bills start coming in.

These weeks of extreme financial output and little to no financial input could have made this major crises even more intense for us. But the support (emotional, financial, and spiritual) really carried us and allowed us to be present in this wild process.

I have never taken for granted our rare love, but the amount I treasure our life together is forever impacted. God is so good. His friendship helped me on those long, lonely nights and major decisions I never expected to make in my 20’s.

Thank you to everyone who loves us and helped us. The money given will be used wisely to help with the expenses related to this event and hospital bills (no vacations or shopping sprees around here)

God is good and I love my husband.
