Support for Arya’s Compassionate Farewell

Donation protected
We are Angelina and Nathaniel, Arya’s heartbroken humans. Our beloved Arya has come to the end of her life, and we are devastated to share that her next step is euthanasia.

She is 13 years old, and within the past week, her health has quickly declined. After an anxious emergency vet visit followed by a referral to Auburn with lots of examinations, tests, and scans, we finally got our answers: a cancerous mass behind her eye that has spread to the bone.

The high costs of emergency care and specialty care for our girl have added an unexpected financial burden during an already devastating time. We are asking for help covering some of these costs and a compassionate euthanasia as well as a cremation and an urn fit for the queen she is.
Any donations would mean the world to both of us, but also giving this a share would mean just as much.

More About Arya...
Arya has been with Nathaniel since he first heard her screaming meow coming from the bushes outside of his apartment complex. But she was a clever one, always hiding and hopping away like a little bunny rabbit.

Finally, he set a safe trap with a little food inside to catch the elusive little tabby, and the next day, there she was. A plucky little thing full of spice, lots of hisses, and a battle cry like you’ve never heard before.

As a broke college student, Nathaniel never intended to adopt his little fur daughter. BUT little Arya had decided he was hers, and she charmed her way into his heart almost immediately. From that point on, they were a duo.

She quickly learned that she could tame her new human and use him for transport on his shoulder, earning her the honorific moniker para-cat (a hissing, furry parakeet).
Other skills she’s honed over the years: stealing milk and other dairy products, jumping three feet in the air to catch her toys, and keeping all other pets and humans in their place.

As for me, I met Arya when she was three years old. She didn’t like me at first, of course. I was this annoying human who was demanding her human’s time and attention. How dare I! After years of effort and earning her trust, she finally accepted me as the spare human. I’m allowed to occasionally hold her, be used as shoulder transport if needed, take her on walks in her stroller, play with her, and most importantly, feed her. She became my family, too.

She is so cherished and loved, and she will be missed greatly. This goodbye is too soon.
