Aruna Jeevanatham, my colleague and a devoted mother of two, moved to the United States from Tamil Nadu just two years ago with her family, full of hope for a better future for her daughters. Since then, she has worked tirelessly—balancing her role at a healthcare company while lovingly caring for her children and building a new life far from home. Tragically, on December 12, 2025, Aruna’s husband passed away unexpectedly due to medical complications while he was in India. His sudden loss has been heartbreaking and has left Aruna facing the unimaginable—navigating grief, uncertainty, and life as a single parent, all while being far from extended family and support.

As Aruna continues to care for her daughters—one in elementary school & other one of whom is preparing to begin college in the coming years—the emotional and financial pressures have grown significantly. With limited support in the U.S., even day-to-day responsibilities and future educational expenses feel overwhelming as the family tries to heal and rebuild after this devastating loss.

This fundraiser is meant to offer Aruna and her daughters some relief during this incredibly difficult time—helping with immediate needs, medical & educational expenses, and providing a measure of stability as they grieve and move forward together.
