I have a dear friend who has served our country for many, many years in the Army. He needs help after a freak disease hit his toes. They got infected, and the infection spread. The doctor that looked at it sent him home with antibiotics and said he was fine. He knew something was not right. He went to the VA hospital, and what they found was not good. Long story short, they amputated his leg from the knee down because the infection was so bad. The bills have racked up beyond what his wife and he can handle. They have maxed out their credit cards paying bills and are in a very rough spot.
