I'm Kody, older brother to Kensey Ruck, & uncle of Ariyana.

On Wednesday November 5th just after 7pm, Kensey Ruck (35) and her daughter Ari Farmer (12) from Greenbrier TN were driving home from the grocery store when a pickup truck stopped on the side of the highway attempted to make a U turn across all 5 lanes, cutting directly in front of Kensey 's car without time for her to even slow down.

Kensey did not survive the wreck.

Ari was transported to Vanderbilt for her injuries. She's awake and her recovery looks good as of now, but she is in a great deal of pain and is dealing with a concussion and memory problems.

This loss is a particularly devastating one because Ari had previously lost her father and grandfather (whom she lived with). Kensey was the household's main provider so not only are Ari and her grandmother/guardian losing a family member, but also a large chunk of their livelihood.

All funds raised will go toward:

-FUNERAL EXPENSES - With Kensey's death being so young and unexpected, the family has nothing saved for it. This will be the immediate need.

-MEDICAL BILLS - The extent of Ari's physical treatment is unknown as of now, but she will for sure need help with at home care even after she's discharged, as well as therapy to process the loss of her mom.

-ARI'S FUTURE - Any funds raised that are beyond these needs will go toward Ari's future. Clothes, school expenses, savings.

There is a facebook group for all updates pertaining to the accident & the upcoming funeral (no arrangements yet, here on GoFundMe there is a "SERVICE DATE" but that is not Kensey's Funeral date. that is still unknown at this time).
