On May 2, 2022, my life changed forever after a car accident in Charlotte, North Carolina. I was alone in the car and, unfortunately, not wearing a seatbelt. I ran a red light, and the impact broke my C6 vertebra, leaving me paralyzed from the chest down. Since then, I’ve had limited mobility and momentum i cannot use my hands very well but I do my best. Every day is a challenge but I try my best to stay positive for myself and my seven-year-old son.

Living in a nursing home, I only receive $30 each month, which isn’t enough to cover basic needs like food, transportation, or personal care items. I take the bus whenever I can to help out with my son, but it’s hard to do much for him with so little. I want to be there for him and do more, but I don’t have the support I need.

The funds raised here will help me afford daily transportation, meals, and give me the chance to spend more time with my son. Anything will help during this time—I know times are extremely hard for everyone, It’s the thought that counts.
