This is Aries. He’s a good boy but his owner has fallen on hard times due to some sad circumstances beyond his control. As a result, he is experiencing temporary homelessness. He is working with social services to get disability and pay off his back rent. While this is happening, Aries has been staying with me since early April. However, because of the aforementioned issues, Aries hasn’t received the vet care he needed. I am trying to raise money to cover the cost of his vet bills, which I have paid out of pocket. These have included a vet visit to treat ear infections and allergies and a rabies vaccine ($363), and a trip to the vaccine clinic to cover other essential vaccines ($111 ). I’d also like to raise some money to cover ancillary costs including food, a supplement for his allergies, current heartworm & flea/tick treatment, ear wash, wipes for his feet, and transportation ($150).

Aspirationally, I’d like to raise money to cover future heartworm/flea tick meds ($183 for 6 months/$348 for a year) and surgery to have Aries neutered. There is a charity that provides discounted certificates to have the procedure done for $210 plus any other costs as follows:

The veterinarian may charge the pet owner additional fees for non-routine procedures, including but not limited to:

·         if required, small blood work fee must be discounted rate of $36 to $65

·         pre-diagnosed infections

·         undescended testicles

·         take-home medications

·         the increased charge may not exceed $2/lb. for 51-75 pounds, and no more than $4/lb. for dogs 76 pounds and over.
