Ariel is the most selfless person I have ever met—the glue that holds our entire family together. We have a three-year-old and a five-year-old together, and my children from a previous marriage, ages 12 and 20, also live with us. Ariel’s love and care reach every member of our blended family, making our home a place of warmth and support.
Just before I was supposed to leave for a fishing trip with friends, Ariel had a mammogram and ultrasound that came back abnormal. Even though she encouraged me to go on my trip, I couldn’t leave her side knowing what she might be facing. Two days later, she had a biopsy, and within a week, we received the diagnosis: DCIS. After many long thoughts and prayers, Ariel bravely decided to undergo a double mastectomy.
Following her surgery, the breast tissue was biopsied and we learned she had Stage IA - Grade 3 Triple Positive - Multifocal Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. Ariel is now in the midst of chemotherapy, and later this summer, once she’s healed, she will undergo a major reconstructive surgery called DIEP Flap. Through all of this, Ariel’s strength and selflessness have never wavered—she continues to be the heart of our family, even on the hardest days.
We are raising funds to help cover insurance deductibles, travel expenses, diagnostic imaging, a wig, and supplements that are essential for Ariel’s treatment and recovery. We are grateful for your kindness and willingness to help. Your support means the world to us as we navigate this journey together.
