It is with shock and a heavy heart to share that on Sunday, October 18, Ariel Gold, the beloved mother, artist, family member and friend to so many of us, died suddenly in her sleep. Everyone that knows her knows that there are not enough positive words in the universe to describe her. She was so full of light and levity, smiles and passion and compassion, taking care of her beautiful daughters and husband, her family, her friends, her art community and everyone she knew with happiness and genuine authenticity.
Ariel lived vibrantly and inspired all to live vibrantly too. The love she felt for her husband, Eric, and their two amazing daughters, Rylin who just turned 10 last week and Presley, age 3, exuded from her in everything she did. They were an incredibly close family who managed to navigate careers as an artist and bar manager in a dynamic and challenging place like San Francisco with so much optimism and grace.
She was a greatly-loved and respected figure in every community she was a part of: her children’s school, her husband’s hospitality network which ran deep, and the hundreds of artists that knew her and admired her success, skills, and willingness to share her perspective, support, encouragement and expertise.
We are all heartbroken, and we hope now to help continue her legacy by supporting her family through this difficult time. She was such an optimistic, encouraging, fun and funny person. She laughed easily, and cared deeply. In this time of so many challenges, she always had something real and positive to say. She was a talented, committed artist who even during this time of COVID was able to support her husband and daughters with the dedication to her incredible art.
Ariel’s career as a well-respected artist was just taking off, so we are joining together now to give Eric, Rylin and Presley and their new puppy, Harley, the support they need to get through this painful and challenging time.
Please know that every dollar will go directly to them, and that you are supporting Ariel’s legacy in a meaningful and significant way.
