We are starting this fundraiser for our friend Ari Lehtela. Ari is a Charlotte, North Carolina-based master luthier, multi-instrumentalist, educator, and visual artist. Through Tela Guitar, formerly Lehtela Guitar Craft, Ari has spent decades doing custom instrument construction, master-level repairs, and lutherie mentorship. His work is known within a specific and close-knit music community, and many people know him through his instruments, repairs, teaching, and art. He is currently dealing with a serious medical condition.

The purpose of this fundraiser is to help with the practical effects of that situation. Funds will go toward medical bills, living expenses, and support for Ari’s studio and teaching practice. This support will help cover day-to-day needs and help keep his work going while he deals with his health.
