Ros and Andy Melling
Donation protected
Ros, Andy, Phoebe, Ollie and Archie.. The time has come for the Mellings to move house to support little Archie's ongoing care needs.
He has Leigh's Syndrome, a very rare mitochondrial disease. He suffers from full body dystonia, which means he is unable to walk, talk or eat sufficiently. He requires a very extensive medication regime, nasogastric feeding and full time care. Archie's future is very unknown, as he is the only child in the world with his same genetic code, so they have no idea how long they will get to enjoy his giggles and smile! So they try to enjoy every day.
This diagnosis came after their oldest daughter Phoebe has been treated for a rare form of cancer in her sinuses at the age of 5. She continues to be monitored for this.
We are hoping to help from afar with the hiring of a Gardener or Handyperson to help take the pressure off, and let both Andy and Ros enjoy family time with less stress.
