Support for Aracely's Family After Tragic Loss
Donation protected
On the morning of Saturday, July 12th, my sister Aracely Alvarez Hernandez was notified of her ex-spouse being involved in a boating accident, but she never imagined the events that followed.
Hours filled with anxiety and desperation went by, not knowing if he would be rescued but holding on to hope that he would be. My sister, her two daughters, and I packed a bag and traveled to Texas to be with her older son Eduardo as he was having to deal with the tragedy alongside his spouse. We made it and waited and waited. Days went by without hearing much news or any updates as to where their father might be. We all held on to hope and prayed that he had swam to shore and he would be rescued; we were all praying for a miracle.
Finally, in the afternoon of Thursday, July 17th, we were notified that the vessel he was aboard was finally pulled out by the US Coast Guard and a body was recovered.
During this hard time, we will have to arrange a funeral and also arrange our trip back to our home state, Georgia. Unfortunately, my sister’s job does not provide a leave of absence or paid time off, and she will have some expenses waiting for her back at home, with back to school right around the corner for her two teenage daughters as their father was their primary provider.
So I have set up this GoFundMe if you can find it in your heart to donate. The proceeds would go to my sister and her daughters to not stress if she will be able to pay her bills when she is having to worry about laying her once husband to rest. Any donations or shares are greatly appreciated, and please continue to pray for my family’s peace of mind as they go through this tragedy.
