We are four sister coming together for our beloved father, Alejandro. He is our family’s foundation. He’s a husband, a great father and an amazing grandfather. He has always been a hard working man who put everyone else’s needs before his own, and who never complained no matter how heavy the burden. He is strong, loving, and the kind of person who would drop everything to help someone in need.

Today, he is facing the most terrifying battle of his life: pancreatic cancer, one of the most aggressive forms of cancer

In early January hearing those words changed everything. Our hearts broke the day we received his diagnosis. Pancreatic cancer is aggressive and unforgiving, and now my father must undergo a major surgery that will give him the best chance at survival. The surgery is complex and comes with a long, painful recovery, along with on going chemotherapy. But if you know my dad, you know he is a fighter.

Still, even the strongest fighters need help.

Alejandro will be unable to work for a significant amount of time. The medical bills are already overwhelming, hospital stays, specialists, medications, testing, travel, and daily living expenses. The financial stress on top of the emotional weight of this diagnosis has been incredibly heavy for our family.

My father has always been the one people lean on. He never asks for anything in return. It is humbling and painful for us to now ask for help on his behalf — but we cannot do this alone.

We are asking for support to help cover his surgery and medical expenses so he can focus on what truly matters: fighting for his life and healing.
