On 26th September Anup Rai’s life was suddenly taken from us in a huge avalanche on Mt Manaslu.
As everyone that has climbed with Anup knows, not only was he an incredibly strong, courageous and gifted guide, but one of the best high altitude cooks in the business! He will be greatly missed by everyone fortunate enough to have known him.
This fundraiser is to help support Anup’s family. We know nothing can ever fill the hole that has been created by this tragedy but hopefully this can go some way in securing the future for his wife and children. The money will go to fund the education of the kids and with the loss of sole bread earner of the family, the money will be useful in running day to day household expenses till his wife is able to get back on her feet.
