Update - Unfortunately Anton's diagnosis was not the anyone wanted. Anton ended up with Lung Torsion, which is a costly fix with a high reoccurance rate. Kayleigh, Jackie, and the team of experts, weighed all possibilities, and decided it was best to put him to sleep.
Thank you to all who have stepped up so far. We will continue to raise money for them to help cover the cost of this tragedy.
Orginal - Hi my name is Beth Erisman and I am helping my dear friend Kayleigh and her Fiancé Jackie with medical expenses for their beloved Borozi, Anton.
Kayleigh and Jackie saw a post on Facebook last year after Borozi breeder, Tami Marshall, passed away leaving behind 7 Borozi's. They have been in LOVE with Borozi's for a long time and had just lost one of their other dogs after a long and expensive fight of illness. With a spunky Standard Poodle, Kush, at home with no playmate, they inquired about Anton. With help from many, including Anne Midgarden and Rebecca Drollinger, Anton came to live with them. At the time of his arrival he was underweight, at 60 lbs. Kayleigh and Jackie worked to help him gain weight and come out of his shell. They love taking the dogs on hikes and any other adventures they can.
Unfortunately, the day before Christmas Jackie lost her job. While they had some money, we all know relying on one person's income in this economy can be very hard. Right after all of this happened, their furnace went out and it had to be completely replaced. Now their beloved Anton whom they've had a whole 7 months is ill and fighting for his life. What started out as some difficulty breathing and suspected start of pneumonia has now turned into much worse. We want to be up front, depending on the diagnosis, they may not be able to save him, but so far they are upwards of $2,500 out of pocket and all of their rainy day funds are spent.
Please consider donating to help them out in these trying times.
