Support for Annie Symons

Donation protected
As many of you know, my sister Annie Symons experienced a traumatic fall on Tuesday Sept. 12th and has been in the ICU at Harborview since. She is battling a broken clavicle, 7 broken ribs, a skull fracture and a broken spine. She underwent an intensive surgery to help relieve her spinal pressure but has recovered no feeling below her belly button and her doctors do not have much hope she will regain use of her legs.

For those of you who know Annie, you know how smart, hilarious and genuine she is. She has the biggest heart and loves to bring people together. She can quote any movie line and she loves Seattle sports- no one cheers louder for the Mariners than her! She has been so brave throughout this entire experience and we have all been amazed by her strength and humor.

We are raising funds because we know that Annie is facing a long road of recovery with many challenges and unplanned expenses. She has already spent almost 2 weeks in the ICU. The next steps of her journey include more time in the hospital, then eventually rehab. We know that there will also be a need for home re-structuring to improve accessibility, and a need for mobility devices.

We have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of support, prayer and love from friends and family. We can't thank you enough for helping our family, and especially Annie, through this scary and uncertain time. Thank you for contributing and passing along our fundraiser to help Annie!
