Annelise Camp is a 2-year-old fighter. This tough, beautiful little girl was able to keep up with her loving brother and sister who are 7 and 5 until last week.
NOW THE FAMILY IS IN CRISIS AND WE NEED YOUR HELP!
Annelise was in a near drowning incident on Memorial Day and is fighting for her life. After wearing life jackets all day, the extended family sat down for snacks with 5 adults and 5 children. In a split second, Annelise was missing and was found unresponsive at the bottom of the pool. She was only there for a few minutes. Her heart has been beating on its own since responding to CPR and over the past week, her body has shown other positive signs of recovery. However, she needs a ventilator to breathe and more time for her brain to heal.
Texas has passed the Right to Try Law authored by State Rep Steve Toth. This law gives the family the legal right to try therapies that have proven successful in brain injuries. Annelise is the first major case utilizing the Texas Right to Try law.
With continued support and time, it is the family’s goal for her to receive continued care until she becomes strong enough to pursue stem cell and hyperbaric oxygen therapy that have successfully treated hundreds of drowning victims days, weeks and months after the incidents.
We are raising funds to help with the emergency expenses for the family including mounting medical costs and the urgent need for medical transport and possible air ambulance to move little Annelise to another facility that will give her the best chance to live.
