Our nana, “Sissi,” took her last breath on Oct. 7, 2024. She has been in pain and struggling for a while. Rest easy, Nana. Go be with your loved one, Papaw Sparky. He's been waiting on you. Uncle Danny will be happy to see you too.
Anna 'Sissi' Louise Craig, 73, of Orleans, passed away Monday, October 7, 2024, at Paoli Health and Living Community after a long-fought battle with cancer. Born May 4, 1951, in Bedford, she was the daughter of Harold Lee and Julia F. (Melvin) Dorsett. She married Mark Alan 'Sparky' Craig on December 22, 1999, and he preceded her in death on February 7, 2020. Anna was a bartender at Jack's Lounge, Zeeks, and multiple other lounges. She was a member of the National Rifle Association and the Auxiliary to the VFW Post No. 9107. Anna enjoyed gardening and flowers, cooking, and crafting. She loved socializing and partying with her friends, always making everyone smile. Surviving are her children, Julie Tow of Bedford and Kari Terrell of Orleans; stepson Alan Craig of Bloomington; grandchildren Jae (Jerek) Tolbert Johnson, Kristopher (Erendira) Kinder, and Michael (Rose Gonzales) Morin; great-grandchildren Eluzai, Arya, and Isabella; siblings Aggie Ramey of Bloomington and Billy Baker of Anderson; and her beloved rescue dog, Honey A Bear.
Two lost a mom, two lost a nana, and many lost a great and supportive, fun friend. She loved us at her deepest core. This woman did a lot for us in the past when she was well enough to do so when all we could give her was love back.
We don't have much family left on this side, so please keep us in your thoughts.
There will not be a funeral service held, but a celebration of life at the Mitchell VFW on Friday the 18th.
We would very much appreciate any amount of donation! The donations will go towards our nanas memorial costs. If you would like to donate in person, please contact one of us. God bless you all.
