In Ann Arbor, Michigan, a beloved local family is facing an unimaginable hardship, and they urgently need our community's support.

On a recent morning, a loving father of four was suddenly detained by immigration officials after driving his children to school. Despite having a pending asylum application, the father was denied due process and was swiftly deported, leaving behind his heartbroken family.

Because he attempted to escape, he was beaten severely and is now suffering from a head injury and PTSD. He's been hospitalized in his country and must find funds to cover treatment.

His wife, now the sole provider, was forced to leave her job to care for their children. This family, which does not have access to public benefits, is in immediate need of the essentials we often take for granted: financial support in order to stay in their home, keep food on the table, and afford other basic living expenses.

Every little bit of help translates directly into security and hope for this resilient family as they navigate this devastating new reality.
