Ang is my youngest sister and is facing her 2nd battle with Cancer in 6 years. Ang is a single Mom and is about to turn 37 years old.
In August of 2014 our family was at my Mom's hospital bedside awaiting her test results and diagnosis. Within days the unthinkable happened and our worlds would never be the same again. Not only was our Mom was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer but Ang, our baby - the youngest of 9 kids, was diagnosed with Breast Cancer.
Sadly, Mom passed away in October. While Ang mourned a loss almost too much to bear she was fighting through Cancer treatments. Trying to beat the same disease that just ripped her Mom from her. Ang fought a fierce battle and came out the victor. She had in fact, kicked Cancer's ass.
Or so we thought.
Fast forward to December 2020 and Ang heard those two dreaded words...it's back. Unfortunately there is no cure for her Cancer at this time but she has treatment options and remains optimistic. She really is incredible!
When people who know and love Ang hear her news they inevitably ask, 'What can I do to help?' This is how you can help:
Ang is fortunate to have a job she really enjoys but unfortunately it does not come with any benefits, medical insurance or disability pay. That means no coverage for medication or missed time at work. She has been fortunate enough to receive medication coverage through Provincial programs for some of her prescriptions (one drug is $10 000 a month) but there will be drugs that do not qualify for coverage. When she misses work for any of her MANY appointments each month, or can't get out of bed as she feels the effects of treatment she has no disability pay options. No to mention gas and parking for her long list of appointments.
You can help by donating here. Every dollar is more appreciated that you can ever know. You would literally be helping save Ang's life.
Please keep Ang and Eden in your thoughts and prayers.
