We're reaching out because we urgently need assistance.

We originally wanted to share this good news under different circumstances but life has its ways.

It is with utmost gratitude & love that we share that Angelo has beaten cancer! Just a week shy of his 14th bday, he rang the bell signifying his completion of chemotherapy & end of clinical treatment. Over the next couple of years, Angelo will be closely observed to make sure no signs of disease return. We are all just elated, grateful & relieved to have our son home with us, healthy & alive.

Now, as he enters remission & we begin to really process the hell we've been through; we ask for continued prayers & uplift to get through this next chapter.

However, as we enter this new chapter, we face new challenges. In October & November we fell behind in rent. Angelo had just had major surgery and Chris needed to take time off to help with our family and recovery. Chris was eligible for Paid Family Leave but due to a clerical error, the money was delayed and by the time it came we had already fallen behind.

We went to eviction court and that resulted in paying almost double our rent plus their lawyer fees. The Paid Leave money came, we've both been working and we are making progress but still barely scraping by.

We didnt think we'd have to ask for assistance again, but our van broke down on us this morning. So we decided to reach out and share about what's going on in our lives. The extra rent and now the van has steeply set us back. We needed everything to go perfectly, in order to finish paying off our rent debt plus our monthly bills but we've only encountered more challenges. Chris is going to be taking the bus to work for now and I'm grateful my job can provide me with an Uber to get me to work. Still, this is not sustainable for a large family, by any means.

We are asking for your support to help us cover our rent and bills so we can focus on Angelo’s recovery. This is the last extra rent payment off our debt and we need help getting out of this tight spot. Every little bit helps, and your kindness means the world to us.
