In Memory of Ophelia Mara Grey, And in Support of Angela Grey and Dane Johnson for Medical, and Circumstantial Expenses

Angela and Dane were expecting to bring their first child into the world on the morning of Saturday, September 28th, 2019. Angela had gone into labor, and was ready to deliver, when they were no longer able to locate the heartbeat of their child.
The medical team at Adventist Health Portland acted swiftly and Angela was immediately transferred to surgery for a c-section. Ophelia Mara Grey was brought into this world still-born due to a cord compression incident.
Angela was returned to her room to recover with her awaiting family. Nurses soon discovered that something was wrong with Angela’s vitals. Angela immediately underwent a second surgery, due to a life-threatening postpartum hemorrhage. After a massive blood-transfusion and various other medical interventions, surgeons were able to save Angela’s life. She was then transferred to the ICU to ensure her stability.
Angela remains in stable condition with Dane close by her side, but over the coming months they will need your support managing the aftermath of the loss of their child, and expenses associated with the physical and emotional trauma that has taken place.
As Angela recovers from two major surgeries, her and Dane will require the financial assistance to address the needs of their family, including the expenses of their food, the care of their pets, the hospital bill they will leave Adventist with, and the future medical bills and expenses associated with Angela’s physical and the couple’s emotional recovery. They will be utilizing the services of a bereavement doula, as well as seek the support of a grief counselor. Angela and Dane are new home owners, who were expecting to begin their dream-future.
Anything that you can contribute in order to alleviated the unimaginable stress and trauma of their experience would really mean the world to them.
