My name is Emily, and I’m raising funds for my beloved abuelito, Angel Castro. He’s been the heart of our family—always there when we need him, caring deeply, and loving us unconditionally. He took care of me my whole life, never judged me, and always made me feel safe and loved. Sadly, we recently found out that he has lung cancer and has been given six months to live. We’re still waiting to learn more about his diagnosis, but the news has been devastating. I’ve already lost my grandma to lung cancer and my uncle to pancreatic cancer, and I can’t bear the thought of losing another person I love so much.

Our family is struggling to pay for my grandpa’s medical bills and medication. I’m a student, and while I do my best to support my grandparents, it’s hard to manage on my own. We live far away in America, and traveling to see him is expensive, but I want to be there for him as much as possible. The funds raised will go directly toward his medical expenses, medication, and travel costs so our family can be together during this difficult time. If there is any money left after his care, I will donate it to a cancer foundation to help other families facing similar challenges.
