It breaks my heart to share this for the family of Andy Laguer. On 9/6/2024, it was discovered that Andy had suddenly and tragically passed away in his sleep due to unknown heart disease. Andy and his partner Katie had just welcomed a beautiful and sweet baby girl to this world just a week prior, little Josephina Noelle. Andy and Katie also share 3 amazing kids together: CC, Ella, and Derek, who Andy was the honorable step-up Dad to. Andy was an amazing father and loved his family dearly. There are no words to help understand this tragic loss.
Andy was an open, honest, and fun-loving guy. He was a family man through and through. He loved his Mama and his sisters wholeheartedly. He was the oldest and only brother of 5. I’m sure this added to what an amazing father he became. You could see a spark in his eyes every time they were together.
Andy was also a part of the Outback Steakhouse family for almost 17 years. He had worked at several Outbacks in South Jersey as a manager before moving to the Springfield, PA location where he met Katie, who captured his attention and heart almost immediately. Katie has been an Outbacker as well for 14 years. Their friendship blossomed into a beautiful family of adorable, wild, fun, and crazy (in the best way) little Andy and Katie’s running around. It’s impossible not to smile in their presence. I know myself and many others feel privileged to have witnessed their family grow.
Due to recent life events and how sudden this took place, there are not many safety nets in place in the form of health/life insurance to help with services and the kids' future. Adding to this incredibly sad situation, Andy’s week-old baby girl is in the NICU. She was born with a cleft palate and will most likely need surgery at the 1-year mark of her life. She will be living with a feeding tube when she comes home from the hospital, which will be a challenge, but Katie and the family have witnessed this little girl's strength firsthand and are confident she will be the light they so desperately need during this dark time.
Andy was loved by so many, and many people are already looking for a way to help. We’ve created this GoFundMe to help with preparing services and also help with any expenses the kiddos may need. Anything you can do to help, I assure you it will make a difference. Please share this as far as you can so we can show this amazing family all the support they deserve.
