Support for Andy Fielding's Family

Hello friends,

As you know, Andy Fielding suffered a fatal cardiac arrest on Friday, March 4, 2022, while in Mexico on vacation with his family. Andy was an extraordinary man who made everyone feel seen and like they mattered. His pride and joy in life were his best friend and wife, Kim, and their two teenage sons, Eric and Colin.

Kim, Eric and Colin are now safely home in Canada, and we've received an update that Andy is being transported home on Thursday, March 10th. Funeral arrangements are being made through Henry Walser Funeral Home in Kitchener, ON.

Over the past several days, there has been an enormous outpouring of support - posts and messages on social media sharing stories of time spent with Andy and how he has positively impacted so many lives. If you missed it, there's an especially moving one that recounts Andy jumping up from lunch at a restaurant, racing out in the rain to stop traffic and help an older woman cross the road. That was just the kind of guy Andy was. If there was an opportunity to help, chances are Andy took it.

At this site, you can share your condolences, memories and photos, receive updates, and use the calendar to sign up for meal deliveries and other support that we will post there in the coming days and weeks.

Many are also wishing to offer financial support to the family. Kim worked with Andy in his real estate business, so she no longer has an income at this time. Immediate expenses like Andy's transportation home to Canada and funeral costs are all covered, and Kim and the boys will be fine, financially, for the interim. But we also know the future is uncertain and are unsure what their journey through mourning will entail.

Should you wish to show your support through a financial contribution, these funds will be used to help with expenses such as schooling, to allow Kim some additional time off to grieve, if needed, as well as other uncovered costs that may arise as a direct result of Andy's untimely passing.

Know that your prayers and messages are appreciated, and the family is grateful to you all as they take time to grieve and make arrangements. Thank you for everything you're doing. We'll all miss Andy's crazy socks, his relentless ribbing, and his giant heart. I hope we can carry on his legacy.
