Dear friends, family, and community,

I am reaching out to ask for support for an incredible family facing an unimaginable challenge. Andrew, a loving husband, devoted father, and cherished friend to many, was diagnosed in August with a rare and aggressive form of glioblastoma. Despite every effort, his condition continues to progress rapidly and he has entered hospice just before holiday season.

I have had the privilege of knowing his wife, Robin, for the past seven years as her coworker at Kaiser Permanente. In that time, I have seen firsthand the compassion, strength, and dedication she pours into her work every single day. As a highly skilled lactation consultant, she is deeply loved by her coworkers and endlessly appreciated by the countless patients whose lives she has touched. Now, a person who has given so much of herself to others is facing a heartbreaking chapter in her own life.

Andrew is the kind of person who lights up a room—kind, steady, and full of quiet warmth. His love for his family is unmistakable. He is a devoted father to their three children: two sons currently in college and a daughter in the 6th grade who absolutely adores him. The bond they share is beautiful and deeply cherished.

As Andrew’s illness progresses, the emotional and financial strain on the family has become overwhelming. Balancing caregiving, work, and parenthood during this time is more than any one family should have to manage alone. We are coming together to help ease some of that burden.
