On September 10, 2025 our father, Andres Mendez, went home to be with The Lord. He was a devoted father and husband, and if you live in Barstow and ever took your car to Sparkle Carwash, you no doubt had a chance to meet him. He was the manager of Sparkle Carwash for almost 25 years until he retired. For many years he played Santa Claus at the house on the corner of Armory and Purple Sage at Christmas time. It was one of his favorite things to do, and he would often talk about how he loved seeing all the kids' faces light up when they saw him.

Due to pre-existing medical conditions, our father was unable to get life insurance, and we are reaching out to the community to ask for your support and help in raising money so we can lay our father to rest.
