On February 17, 2022, Andre Fair (Dre) sustained significant injuries related to a boat fire. Dre suffered extensive 2nd and 3rd degree burns to his arms, legs and especially his torso, which will likely require skin grafting down the road. In the following days, weeks and months, Dre will require continued wound care, rehabilitation services, doctor’s appointments, and long-term care at home that includes daily dressing changes.

 

As many of you know, Dre taught himself to sail. He traveled from Connecticut to Florida and his long -term plan was to sail to the Bahamas as well as to Grenada. Boating was a passion of Dre’s and it was also how he made his living. His passion for traveling, scuba diving, sight-seeing, spear fishing and sailing will be put on hold while his wounds heal, and he works on his recovery.

This Go Fund Me Page was created so that Dre and his loving family will not have to be burdened with the financial worries this devastating accident has brought upon him and so that he can put all of his focus on healing.
