My name is Kimberly Bond Kent from Mansfield, Ohio, and I am writing during the most difficult time of my life. I am the mother of Andre Lamont Bond, my beloved son, whom I was blessed to have in my life.
It is with profound grief that I share that Andre passed away unexpectedly and tragically while living in Hawai'i. Our family is devastated and still processing this unimaginable loss. While we don't yet have all the answers surrounding his passing, we know more details will unfold in time, and we will share what we can as we learn more.
Andre was a people person who loved to laugh. His kind and big-hearted spirit touched everyone he encountered. Though he faced challenges in these latter years, he was always a loving brother, son, father, nephew, grandson, cousin, and friend. The memories we hold will sustain us through this heartbreak.
Right now, our immediate need is to bring Andre home. We are raising funds to cover the costs of transporting his body from Hawai'i back to Mansfield, Ohio, as well as expenses for a private burial so he can be laid to rest by the family that loved him. We hope to have him home for burial before the holidays.
No parent should have to face this, and the financial burden of bringing my son home this way and saying goodbye feels overwhelming. Any contribution, no matter the size, will help ease this burden during our darkest hours.
In addition to any size donation, I would ask you to please help by sharing this page and keeping our family in your thoughts and prayers.
We are deeply grateful for your support and kindness.
