Yesterday, my household of 7 lost our home in the spokane complex fire. The devastation has been overwhelming, and we are still coming to terms with everything that has happened. We lost all of our irreplaceable family items, and we had just moved in. Losing everything so suddenly has left us feeling vulnerable and uncertain about the future.

We have 5 kids still at home and our savings has been drained in family court, leaving us with very little to fall back on. I am an ER nurse at Holy Family, and while I am used to helping others in times of crisis, this time my family and I are the ones in need. We are now facing the challenge of finding temporary housing and replacing the essentials we lost in the fire. This includes basic items like clothing, food, and personal belongings, as well as the costs of securing a safe place to stay while we figure out our next steps. The support from our community means so much to us as we try to rebuild and regain some stability. Every contribution will help us cover the costs of a safe place to stay, basic necessities, and the first steps toward recovery.
