Support for an Elderly Couple's Exodus from Gaza

After enduring over 5 months of displacement and facing profound psychological and humanitarian challenges, Kamal Abushaban (65) and Asmaa Abushaban (55) are seeking to temporarily relocate to Egypt in pursuit of safety and peace until the flames of war subside, allowing them to return to their home in Gaza City.

The Egyptian authorities oversee the Rafah crossing and impose a financial burden of $5,000 USD, a 14-fold increase from before the war, on individuals seeking to depart from Gaza:

Kamal and Asmaa are the parents of my close friend, Musaab. He is located in Turkey and has personal connections to deliver the funds to his parents. Musaab and I are co-ordinating this fundraiser. I have known Musaab for over 10 years. We met and became friends during my undergraduate studies in Turkey.

Through your gracious donations, we aim to extend a helping hand by providing $15,000 USD to assist the two grandparents, Kamal and Asmaa, in covering the costs associated with crossing Rafah, along with an additional $5,000 USD to support their living expenses in Egypt for the duration of one year.
