Dear Friends,

My name is Jimmy, and I have the great honour of knowing Karen Jordan. Karen's family and our family met when our currently 13-year-old boys started playing hockey at the young age of 5. Since then, our families have become extremely close.

Karen is a single mother raising a beautiful son, Kevin. She has recently retired after years as an Elementary School Principal, taking care of many children. She is compassionate, caring and a joy to be around. If friends/family were in need, Karen would be the first one there to help with no questions asked.

Karen has fought breast cancer with the determination you'd expect from her. Unfortunately, her cancer has come back. Karen will undergo treatment, and her treatment requires medication that benefits will not cover. On top of that, she will be needing a stair lift inside her home, a wheelchair and a walker rental, and help with Kevin's activities. I'm reaching out to all friends, family and teaching colleagues to help support this amazing family.

I know together we can ease their stress so they can focus on getting Karen through the days ahead and not worry about money. Anything helps.
